GENERATION 5
As of January 19th, 2010 the Ultrium tape mechanism and cartridge specifications are being offered on a license basis for Ultrium format Generation 5.
GENERATION 4
As of late December 2006, the Ultrium tape mechanism and cartridge specifications are being offered on a license basis for Ultrium format Generation 4.
GENERATION 3
As of July 26, 2004, Ultrium tape mechanism and cartridge specifications are being offered on a license basis for Ultrium format Generation 3.
GENERATION 2
As of April 9, 2002, Ultrium tape mechanism and cartridge specifications are being offered on a license basis for Ultrium format Generation 2.
GENERATION 1
As of April 7, 1998, Ultrium tape mechanism and cartridge specifications are being offered on a license basis for Ultrium format Generation 1.
